One of the most famous attractions in France. Take a ride up the Aiguille du Midi Cable Car to get the closest view of Mount Blanc without actually climbing it. There are two stages of the tram to the top. The first brings you to the Plan de L'Aiguille and the second crosses Les Pelerins glacier before ascending the steep north face. There is an elevator at the top which will bring you to a terrace with fantastic views of Mount Blanc. This tram is also the access for backcountry skiers and guides to Mer De Glace glacier descending Mont Blanc; the route is considered the longest ski descent in the world. In the summer time, you will see rock climbers on the cliff faces around the summit. Note: Children under 3 are not prohibited on the tram. It is not recommended for children under 5.
