This route is part of a multi week long walk or ride, along The Pyrenean Way - GR 10 trail (Traversée des Pyrénées), also known as the French Pyrenees GR 10 trail. It travels across the French Pyrenees from Banyuls-sur-Mer to Hendaye, or it can also start from Llança in Spain. It crosses France from one side to the other, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean ocean or vice versa. The route can be done from east to west, but it could also be traversed west to east. It can be done by foot or bike (mountain bike with saddlebags) at a variety of paces and starting points. The whole itinerary is quite well marked with red and white painted blazes and it has a good number of hostels along the way or you can camp. It goes along all types of terrain, mostly off-road, rugged and rocky in some areas. The views are breathtaking.
