After a few hundred metres of path, it becomes a steep climb with virtually no areas of flat for respite until the summit. There are occasional trees for shade for the first 300m of climb, and I’d recommend using them as the last 250m has no cover. It’s about 570m of climbing from the leisure centre to the top. The path is mostly well marked and not too challenging, although rocky in parts. Rewarding views from the top to the Pyrénées on one side and the coast on the other.
