The Capu Rossu is the south cape of the bay of Porto on the West seashore of Corsica. The region is world famous for its red cliffs contrasting with the deep blue of the sea. This hike offers great panoramic view on the region of Piana-Porto-Scandola. 5 minutes by car from the starting point of the Capu Rossu hike to Turghiu Tower, there's the beautiful beach of Arone, perfect to relax after the hike. This 200 meters long beach has crystal clear shallow water. It's an excellent swimming point and a good place to enjoy the beach with the whole family.

One of the best views of the Corsica Coast. Very rugged and isolated. The climb is not hard, just a bit long and last part harder; well worth it, the views, Colors and landscape is amazing. Go, do it!

This is a relatively easy hike on mostly good trails. It's 5.6 miles (9 km) out and back including the ascent to the fort. The views are spectacular. The climb to the Genovese fort is steep but the path is good, and many people of all ages take it successfully. The loop shown on the All Trails map is no longer available. The trail I followed is the only one.

Most of the beaches on the west Corsican coast are quite wild and of difficult access. But not in Arone. So, if you want to enjoy a fantastic beach with a bit more accommodations, that's the perfect place. Wonderful.
