GR20 Trek is a 105.5 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Calenzana, Corsica, France that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and backpacking and is best used from May until October.

The entire GR20 takes about 12 days to hike. It begins in Cadenza in the North and ends in Conca in the South. It can be done in either direction. It is well marked with red and white blazes. The best time to do the trek is between late May/early June to late October. July and August tend to be the busiest. There are refuges along the way. You can pay to stay in a refuge, but can also pay a fee to camp on the grounds if you have brought along a tent. Camping along the GR20 route is prohibited except at a refuge site. If you are doing this entire trek, plan to stay at multiple refuges over the course of your journey. They each cook and sell food, as well. The best place to replenish supplies is Vizzanova; however, some supplies can be purchased at Asco Stagnu, Castel di Vergio, Bavella. Be sure to bring a filter or drops since this is a long trek. Many people have reported no issues with water supplies, but speak with locals in the refuges for the best, most up to date information.

wir haben den GR20 von Süd (Conca) nach Nord (Calinzana) gemacht. Es war eine Herausforderung der besonderen Art, weil wir es ausserhalb der Saison gemacht haben. im n Nordteil waren die Refugiums meistens offen, aber im Süden braucht man Ende Oktober ein Zelt! Es gibt eine schöne Variante auf dem Grat zwischen Petra Piana und der Hütte vor Vizzavona (ich glaube l'onda) die sich wirklich lohnt.

Une aventure inoubliable Des paysages à couper le souffle Les paysages changent au fur et à mesure des étapes et sont tous plus beau les uns que les autres Le sentier est vraiment compliqué avec des dénivelés énormes et de grosses parties techniques, une sensibilisation à l’alpinisme ou l’escalade et nécessaire pour ce trek Quoi qu’il en soit c’est un très bon moyen de se ressourcer. PS: attention aux genoux, les articulations prennent cher

Ce trek est une très belle expérience! Ce sentier demande une bonne condition physique et du mental. Mais il vous apportera de la satisfaction, un spectacle inoubliable et vous bercera par son immensité.

most difficult long distance hike I've done, but worth every step! I would do it again in a heartbeat, but with a much lighter pack next time. The way the refugios are set up all you need is a light sleeping bag, change of clothes and water. No need lug a heavy pack over those mountains!! Save your feet and back!

This trial was epic! It was one of the hardest trail runs ive done! Turns out all the information you read on the GR20 is all slightly different in regards to distance & vertical climbing. anything from 169.8 (AllTrails) to hiking books 185Km. I ran the GR20 over 5 days (54 hours total), with 2 good friends and my garmin said 195.6km & 13,800 m climbing. It lived up too and exceeded all our expectations and challenged us! Highly recommend the trail, but be prepared for the extreme!
