The town of Longevilles-Mont-d'Or extracted iron ore from the late Middle Ages until the mid-nineteenth century. This walk follows the stream to the well-named pond of Combe Minier. The route passes near the remains of open-pit mines, trenches, funnel-shaped wells with small piles of iron ore.
