From the Doubs Valley to the plateau that dominates it, this loop crosses woods and religious structures. It passes near the church of Saint-Nicolas and its superb bell-tower porch of 1749. The church shelters an altarpiece classified in polychrome wood and gilded realized in 1716. The path leads near the Chapel Notre-Dame-des-Côtes built in 1871 and its very beautiful oratory. This one is leaning against a rocky bar which dominates the road of Pontarlier. It offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Doubs Valley and its meanders downstream of Lake St. Point.
