Starting at the foot of the castle of Joux, the circuit will leave you along the old railway line to climb then the wooded ridge of Crossat. Then rejoining the village of Oye-et-Pallet, you will cross the hamlet of Granges-Dessus to reach Pontarlier. Along the banks of the Doubs, you will approach the castle to return to your starting point.
