This hike will let you discover the "Massif des Bauges" park. It is at the heart of the Regional Park of the Bauges. The best option to do this hike is to sleep one night in the Orgeval Mountain Refuge, which is used to be a sheep pen. Note that the additional climb to the Arcalod peak is quite challenging, since it necessitates some climbing skills. The Arcalod peak is the highest peak of the Bauges mountains. The hike starts in the Jarsy village, then heads towards the Pecherel hamlet to the "Pont de Leyat" (Bridge). Then a steep slope in the forest leads you to the "Col du Chérel" (pass).
