Beautiful route. Lots of variation and easy to navigate. Look out for the left turn as you ascend from the A road as it’s easy to miss and if you carry on you end up at the top of Black Hill! Look out for the ‘caution’ sign - turn left there.

Fairly challenging but fun to run, varied scenery from reservoir, forest, open moorland, farm tracks and even treated to a dog running an obstacle course. Well marked route so no issues with getting lost.

Well thought out route, easy to navigate but vast majority of time off-road. Varied terrain but not too difficult with exception of the drop to the stream around half-way round which can be mildly treacherous when wet. Paths across the moorland in the middle of the route are quite wet, but mainly on stones that have been put down to improve the route, there are some un-paved sections which can be quite boggy. Varied views of heather uplands and a reservoir contribute to an overall enjoyable scenic route.

Good trail with easy to follow paths and some very pretty spots along the way. Had occasional squelchy ground so decent walking boots are a must but overall very enjoyable.

Great views and easy to follow. We walked from Holmbridge as we were staying in a cottage and means you can finish with a nice pint and some food at the Pickled Pheasant!Though if you have a dog half of walk on lead (sheep) and a couple of gates that unless dog is particularly Agile and can climb ladder crossings they will need lifting over . We have a 35kg Labrador so provided some amusement!

mixture of all thing. soft...rocky...sloppy.. plenty of sheep about..some didnt care for my dog and as they were in the middle of the path we went around...we were on their turf after all. we missed one of the signs for the path so ended up going on a little de tour but the app was correct we just wasnt paying attention. great hike. definitely moderate

Really good walk however there is a locked gate and the only way over is a wooden ‘ladder, over the wall. Unless your dog is small enough to be carried or agile enough to climb a ladder expect a lengthy detour

Lovely trail, plenty of open scenery with a little bit of wood, meadow, and water, not ideal for sandals (like I did) if you don’t want wet feet at one point (about 1/2 way through) but certainly doable and not resulting in sore feet.

Nice walk, some hills that increased the difficulty but the track is well worn and very easy to follow. Thoroughly enjoyed the views and good for the dog. only negative is that there are a lot of sheep and if your dog is anything like ours, they must be on the lead for a while.

Took my dog on a walk around the shorter of the 2 choices - took around an hour as it suggests on the trail maps . Short but beautiful walk with plenty of opportunity to extend your walk following trails of the main one and also fields all around if you want to let your dog have a bit of off leash time .
