Lovely trek for the day, lots of birdies for a nature lover like me.
disappointing as we could only do half the walk due to gate being locked and we had to turn back
very slippery and muddy! but nice walk none the less, would come back when it's sunnier and dry.
Great little walk with a slow incline at the beginning, which rewards you at the top with a lovely view of Long Furlong. Back down the other side of the hill for glorious open fields, a walk past Findon Church and if you look closely, a massive stately home. Could be a good walk with little ones as long as they don’t mind a hill, otherwise they will be on your shoulders the whole way round.
Lovely walk, a shame about no instructions on where to walk, did actually miss one of the first turnings due to this. But a lovely walk, not too steep. Did also find one path closed thankfully we worked out how to get around this, and luckily wasn’t too far. Also thankfully I decided to write some instructions to go along with this map. This is an easy walk starting at the Findon garden centre car park. You take the road up to the downs through an old lightly forested lane. Then out on to the top of the downs. Turn right and descend down a chalk path. Turn right across farm field skirt the base of the downs and past the old church. Back through a small pathway to the beginning. A lovely dog walk too.
