pub walk

A circular pub walk from the Coach and Horses in Chelwood Common near Danehill in East Sussex. It is a lovely country walk through heathland and wooded valleys on the edge of Ashdown Forest. This walk is one of a collection published through a collaboration with East Sussex County Council. The terrain is medium difficulty, including several steady slopes and one fairly steep climb through some woodland. The route follows a mixture of woodland paths, grass tracks, quiet lanes and field paths, some of which can be muddy. You will need to negotiate several footbridges plus four stiles and the route follows a couple of public footpaths that lead you through private gardens. You are unlikely to come across any livestock. Allow 1.5 hours.
