Blackdown Mountain Circular is a 5.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Haslemere, Surrey, England that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and mountain biking.
There are nice views on this route when you reach an open National Trust area and then climb up to Blackdown. The walk along the ridge is great with lots of well-placed benches for picnics.
Walk of two halves. At the start the paths are a bit enclosed with not much to see and views obscured. Improves greatly when you reach an open National Trust area and later climb up to Blackdown. The walk along the ridge is great with lots of well placed benches for picnics. There is a long road section at Fernden Lane but it wasn’t too busy. Missed a couple of turns, but App alerted us without straying too far off piste. Fairly muddy in a few places but no real problems.
Lovely walk - there was a slight flooding through the woods but with a bit of off roading we made it!
