Getting There

A walk from the village of Berkswell, near Coventry in the West Midlands. The route takes in some attractive countryside and farmland. Almost half of this delightful walk follows the Millennium Way, the route being clearly marked by the distinctive black waymarkers. The route is mostly flat with only a few gentle slopes. You will need to negotiate several kissing gates plus 5 stiles (all of which should be suitable for most dogs to manage). You may come across livestock in some of the fields. Allow 2.5 hours. The Millennium Way is a beautiful 100 mile walk in the heart of England, from Pershore in Worcestershire to Middleton Cheney in Northamptonshire. The route was created by the 41 Club as a community project, with something to offer every walker or rambler across Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. This is one of 44 circular walks, each of which incorporates a section of the Millennium Way and is published in partnership with 41 Club.

Berkswell is located about 7 miles west of Coventry in the West Midlands. The walk starts from the Berkswell village car park, accessed from Lavender Hall Lane (at the junction with Church Lane). Approximate post code CV7 7BJ.

Lovely walk. Follow the route instructions and then arrows signs when you reach HS2 works. No need to take millennium way diverted arrow. My 2 children managed the walk as well aged 6 and 9.

Repeated a previously beautiful walk, but saddened to see a good chunk of the wall in beside and through construction for hs2. Nevertheless a lovely walk, nice dry paths in the sun- presume could get very muddy. suitable for small dogs.

Sadly not the walk I remember due to significant land works for HS2. Positives were the shaded woodland sections and magnificent oaks along the quarry boundaries.

Starting point is gorgeous but this trail is impacted by significant works at its edge, after the earliest stages.
