The 3 Parks Trail is a 7 mile walk around three of Birmingham's many parks - Cannon Hill, Highbury and Kings Heath. The walk follows paths through all three sites, each of which has its own character. The walk encompasses mature woodland, parks with formal flowerbeds, mature gardens, ponds, lakes and a river, mature parkland, some views of old buildings and a model of the Elan Valley reservoir system. Allow 2-3 hours to complete the walk. It follows well maintained paths for the most part, but there are some sections that will be muddy. There is also some road walking involved. There are no stiles on the route, but there are some steps/kerbs. Refreshments are available at pubs close to the route and also at the Teashop in Cannon Hill park and at the Victorian Tea Room in Kings Heath Park. Toilets are available at both locations. The gradients are generally shallow or flat.

Great trail - took my 2 little Bichons with me. We headed back to the car at step 5 as both they’re legs (and mine) were tired. Up to this point it was 3.8 miles. Lovely scenery around the parks.
