WalkingGreat!

Really lovely views on this walk with plenty of water and toilet stops. I walked into Sunderland to get the bus back to the start point but there's a bus stop called Harbour View which takes you right back to south shields (Bents Park is the closest stop to the car park directed to in this trail) in under half an hour for £2.70. An easy walk but would recommend

WalkingGreat!

Started the trail from South Shields metro station and added on an extra half hour walking into Sunderland centre at the end, with great views of the port and bridge. Plenty of refreshment stops along the way, with the amazing coastline providing great views. I’d maybe try this trail south>north next time.

A fabulous coastal walk taking in spectacular erosional scenery- if caves arches and stacks are your thing you are in for a treat. Wave cut platforms too - plenty of places to sit and just amaze at the views. I will definitely be back

It’s not a challenging walk so great if you don’t like up hill. It’s flat but not wheelchair friendly. Scenery is beautiful though. Very pleasant stroll which takes you along the cliffs which takes you past Souter lighthouse where you can pop in the cafe for a brew.

Nice and easy walk along the South Tyneside coast. Quiet crowded on sunny days though. You can stop at Marsden Grotto for lunch or drinks and you should definitely spend some time visiting the National Trust - Souter Lighthouse and The Leas.

Nice morning walk. Stopped off at Bessys_sweet_bakes at South Shields beach for a lovely cuppa and some cake!

Good walking path. At some areas becomes to crowdy and close to main roads, but a shore scenary is terrific. Recommended.
