A circular walk taking in the beautiful woodland (renowned for its bluebells) and chalk grassland of the White Downs on the slopes of the North Downs in Surrey. This walk is published through a collaboration with the Surrey County Council. The walk follows woodland bridleways and chalk grassland footpaths which can get very muddy at times so good boots are a must. There are no stiles or steps, but you will need to negotiate two kissing gates. The route includes a few gentle slopes plus one short steeper climb. There are no road crossings on route, making it perfect for families and dogs. Approximate time 1 hour. There are no toilets or other facilities on route. If you would like refreshments after your walk, you will find Kingfisher farm shop (famous for its local watercress) and several pubs in nearby Abinger Hammer and Gomshall. Ordnance Survey Map: Explorer 145 Guildford and Farnham and 146 Dorking, Box Hill and Reigate. This walk follows public footpaths and bridleways which cross private and public land. Information is included for your interest, but please respect people's privacy, keep dogs under control and remember the Countryside Code.

Beautiful and lovely walk. Really calm and peaceful. A little muddy in some areas in the woods, although it's a dry warm week. Wouldn't be an issue with the right footwear. A bit of narrow sections with nettles on both sides as well, but again with long trousers and boots it would not be any issue.

Nice woodland walk, would say an easy walk mostly flat with one steep hill near end of walk. Halfway through you come out of the woods and come into very nice hillside views, and world war 2 pillboxes along the hillside. Nice bit of history. Would walk again.

A terrific walk, hugely enjoyable on a chilly autumn afternoon. The white arrows on the waymarker posts are all still in place and were a great back up to the brilliant app.

This walk didn't disappoint on a beautiful Mayday bank holiday. Lovely bluebells and great views. Carpark very busy, but quiet on walk.
