Walking

A varied walk, taking in Horsell Common, McLaren Park and Fairoaks airport. The only downside, and it's a big one, is having to walk along and then cross the very busy A319 Chertsey Road - on a long sweeping bend with no pavement.

Walking

The best bit was in the shady woods after the airport. But altogether a really enjoyable walk. On the last long straight lane back to the section where it meets the return back, it’s much more interesting to go off across the heath path (summer months only as could be boggy)

HikingGreat!

We wanted a walk relatively close by and was not too long and this was great. It’s flat so we completed it a bit faster than the guide. My favourite bit was going past the end of Fairoaks airport. We went on a bright sunny day but suspect it could get a bit muddy.

This trail was flat all the way through open fields and woodland areas so there is plenty of shade on the way round. You get to pass through fairoaks airport which was good and there were many hors riders out and about who were all friendly and it was a nice touch for an interesting walk. Can be a good running trail as the terrain was mainly even with no rocks or heavy rooted areas. We completed this one fairly quickly due to the flat terrain. It’s a good route I’d recommend this one. I would think it would get quite muddy after rain though.

This trail was pretty good. It had some lovely views and went right over to fairoaks airport. It was a beautiful sunny morning and the ground was all good but I can imagine it to be very muddy on a wet day. Some narrower paths but generally wide walking spaces. Mostly a woodland walk but some open fields too. My only negative is the crossing over the road... it was only a short walk until you needed to cross but it was very dangerous with cars speeding heavily going passed ... careful with kids and if you are not too spritely. Lovely walk though we had a great time!

Lovely woodland walk and lovely to see the airport too great views. Be careful of the two roads you need to cross over. Very pleasant x

First to Review

A woodland trail, so lots of shady bits. The crossing of roads a bit hairy as cars tear along! but lovely to walk amongst the trees and crossing the open fields by the airport which were very pretty. Did this in the summer so dry underfoot, imagine could get squelchy in wet for some sections so a good pair of walking boots recommended.
