Saint Martha's Hill, Shalford and Chantries Wood is a 6.3 mile loop trail located near Guildford, Surrey, England that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round.
A walk taking in St Martha's Hill, the North Downs Way, Shalford Mill and a climb back through Chantries wood.
Great climbs, undulating landscape, St Martha’s church is such a lovely spot, there are beautiful views at various points on this route and really lovely woodland trails- so gorgeous at this time of year with the colours of Autumn coming through from the trees to the crunchy carpet of leaves on the ground. You can make a food pit stop at Shalford, whether it be pub lunch -The Seahorse serve a cracking roast dinner or at The Snooty Fox Cafe, which I’ve not tried but looks lovely!
Fantastic route - beautiful as ever we got see chantries woods and st Martha’s hill church and the views are spectacular at the top. Highly recommend this route. A little hilly in places but otherwise okay. Some really beautiful scenery
