Lovely walk. It was my first time in the area and I would do it again.
It was VERY busy along the path as it was a Sunday. Lots of families, bikes, dogs & horses. However, it was a very pleasant walk thru lots of pathways(some very muddy). Parking was a bit tight, but there are quiet residential streets around to park in. I think that is better then parking along the road near the pathway entrance, just a few extra mins walk to get to the start point. It took us around 2hrs & we had our dog who had lots of ‘off-lead’ time, just be careful as a few busy roads are crossed.
Good to use the existing route as a guide but the walk was better on the smaller trails
Lovely walk through woods and meadows, mostly flat so families should not hesitate. We decided to go “off piste” towards the end and across the clearing which was a nice little add-on.
A thoroughly enjoyable walk, done with one of my daughters and labrador. Other than having to be careful at the road crossings, it was a perfect dog walk with plenty of opportunities to scamper off safely. I would recommend a slight alternative route, diverting via Black Pond (see picture). The road noise was a shame, but we didn't feel too close to traffic. I will definitely be doing walks in this area again. Nice one!
Nice walk. Good trails. Wish it had waypoint directions though as it was a bit difficult at times to find the mapped path. But overall very pleasant and good mix of moderate hills and flat/wide paths.
