A lovely trail taking in local peaks and lovely sights and sounds. The terrain is varied and includes woodland and the path is shared by walkers, runners and cyclists alike. It is also possible to set off counterclockwise from the car park meaning you have the spectacular panoramic views to look forward to in the latter stages of the trail.
great walk, some really sticky muddy places but it is winter. some breathtaking views
Great walk, took considerably longer than expected due to boggy mud (winter) so would definitely be easier in the summer but it does add to the fun!
Loved the views, early morning fresh air & peace. Best done early
A lovely trail taking in local peaks and lovely sights and sounds. I live nearby and didn’t know these trails existed so it’s opened up a whole new opportunity to see my area in a different light. Thanks AllTrails.
Really good trail. Would recommend anti-clockwise to get the views at the end.
An amazing trail. Very varied. We ran it and definitely found it slightly challenging in some areas but definitely well worth it. Some great views. Lovely woods. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in doing an interesting trail run. We did bump into some cyclists but all were very respectful of each other’s space and definitely plenty of room for all to enjoy, no matter whether you are hiking, running or cycling. Lots of fun to be had by all.
Great varied walk with lots of fantastic views. Route partially closed for filming and detour requires walking on a stretch of lane.
Setting off counterclockwise from the car park means you have the spectacular panoramic views to look forward to in the latter stages of the trail. A popular mountain biking area, avoid weekends if you want the paths to yourself. A stunning walk and well worth the effort.
Wonderful walk that easily deserves 5 stars. Has everything you could wish for. Diverse, challenging and several excellent views. Walked counterclockwise, which I recommend because you will have the best views at the latter part of the walk, followed by an easy lovely stroll back to the car. Quite a few short and long climbs, and 15km too, so would recommend for intermediate walkers (if there is such a thing) as it was certainly one of the more challenging ones.
Trail was good with varied terrain and great to walk some steep declines. Pretty views and woodland. Howevee be careful as there are quite a few cyclists on part of this route. On a nice weather Sunday car parks around the area are busy so probably best to get here very early.
We did this lovely 15km walk in 3h 20 mins We went anti clockwise, It was a lovely day, Most of the paths were dry just a little mad as we have had some raid in the last few weeks, Lots of woodland to walk through and some nice views from the hill tops.
