Holmbury and Pitch Hill Circular is a 6.6 mile loop trail located near Shere, Surrey, England that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options.
Fantastic walk in woodland with some good hills but nothing too taxing. Be aware that en route there are roots (excuse the pun) on the ground so footing is a bit more challenging at times. Also be aware that there are bikers so stay alert. There is wildlife too, such as deer, so be respectful of their home, the woodland itself. Please note that the trail is shared by mountain bikers and hikers, be mindful of each other.
February 20, 2021January 10, 2021Really good walk with normally fantastic views. We did on a very cold day with frost on the trees and mist in the valleys. So no real view of the surroundings but the frosted trees and fields were beautiful. The paths were pretty churned up in places, but since the ground was frozen it was easily passable. Top tip - keep the “off route” alarm turned on, as some of the smaller paths are not so obvious, and there were definite time lags in map positioning updates.

September 27, 2020I can not believe that no one has so far commented on the false stats on this walk. THIS WALK IS NOT 21.1KM, but HALF THAT. The person who has sneakily created it, HAS DONE IT TWICE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. I have never seen a scam like this before. I love the platform itself and have been using it for ages, but this walk really annoyed me, so I thought I should warn fellow walkers expecting a long walk. I wasted an hour and a bit driving each way, for a a deceptively short walk (I wasn't keen on walking the same walk twice in a day albeit in opposite directions), and that is why I feel scammed. From now on, I will check the scales on the map and make sure that some other genius won't take me for a ride like the creator of this walk.

July 16, 2020Fantastic walk in the woodland with some good hills but nothing too taxing. Easy to trip as so many roots on the ground but adding to the fun as well x also be very aware that there are loads of bikers crashing down the hills so you need to mind yourself and stay alert or they will get you lol we even saw a deer so that could be your highlight too x
July 16, 2020Great off road trail, lots of climbs and descents, hard work towards the end, good for a challenge. Some overgrown stretches and muddy sections, nothing to off putting though. Some amazing viewpoints and spectacular scenery, very rewarding ! Lots of mountain bikers en route, be vigilant!
