Great trail! Easily sign posted the whole way with the national trust ‘box hill hike’ signs. Ascents can be challenging and is very muddy at the moment so proper walking boots essential!!
Really great walk. If you normally do longer ones this will still be a challenge for you. Constantly undulating with some steep climbs, several on steps cut into the hillside. Views as advertised. Walked this but would love to come back and run it.
This is a great but very challenging walk as you have steep inclines followed by steep declines. Would advise a good pair of walking boots as trainers could make it tricky. Stupidly parked at the motorcycle car park at the bottom of box hill which meant we had to ascend box hill twice. Good day but tiring
I love this walk! Have done it twice and so enjoy it. It can be strenuous at times with steep climbs but so worth it for the views!! Great cafe at the top that is open for takeaway snacks and drinks too!! Avoid parking at the top of Box Hill as the car park gets full very quickly. We have parked half way through at Mickelham (Bottom of the hill) and parked on the street for free. Highly recommend this walk!
