A welcome return to a favourite walk. Amazing views, varied terrain and friendly walkers / dogs.
Fantastic walk on New Year’s Day. Great way to start the year in the beautiful frost. Varied terrain, not too difficult.
Really beautiful out there, lots of great views and big hills. lovely :)
I really should not have been nominated as navigator but what a stunning walk! We went off track several times but easily found our way back and just saw more of the countryside. Absolutely beautiful.
We parked at the Red Lion pub in Fernhurst shortly after lockdown ended and took the trail up to join this route from there - which took us a bit over 10km. It was a really lovely hike with a mixture of woods, hills, fields and fern - with amazing views at the top of Black Down. Perfect hike for both my 70 year old father and 7 year old son to enjoy it but feel we earned our lunch!
We loved this walk. It was varied with glorious views although we went on a cloudy and dismal day but still got pleasure from it! Lots of lovely plants and marshland and mysterious tracks. This had some inclines to keep the old ticker going strong!! It was great we really enjoyed this one - beautiful
