This is circular walk that starts at the dismantled Himley Station, follows the South Staffs Railway line, turns along the Wom Brook then heads onto the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, before turning back along Hinksford Lane and returning to Himley. It encompasses woodland and towpath sections. It is covered by OS Explorer map 219. For the very most part, the path follows made footpaths. However, there is a short stretch, just after Hinksford Lock that follows a dirt path. There are a couple of stiles and several flights of steps. The gradients are quite shallow, however. The towpath section of the trail is popular with cyclists.
