Really enjoyed the walk but found it hard to navigate. It says its circular but every footpath sign had 2 or 3 different ways to go and I had to keep asking people for the way back to the car.

The walk was great! Nice easy tracks, a small incline half way around, by the locks be careful not to miss the stile, I did walk past it as it has started to overgrow, you will see a black stump on the right it’s just after then at the end of the 3 fields you come to a farm, slight confusion there follow the field instead of onto the road and join the footpath back there otherwise lovely walk, views and great weather for it too! Suitable footwear to be worn!

Lovely walk through fields, woodlands, along the canal and past a scenic fishing lake. Wonderful! Our 1 year old loved the adventure.

If your looking for a nice little circular walk to fill around 1 hour then this ticks the boxes, really nice little circular walk to clear the cob webs! Walked it in bad weather but still a nice walk. Easy to moderate walking, recomend good footwear as tricky under foot for large part when wet/muddy. You can park at the housing on Lawton Coppice just off the Spinney (off the A34) or at the church to start this walk.

I've visited Lawton woods a few times before but never done the wider route before so thought we would explore the loop. I found the walk by the canal and through the fields surrounding the woods pleasant, with plenty of space for the dog to run (no cattle grazing this time of year). However following the route became difficult and public footpath signs became a bit misleading into private property. This led to us trapcing through muddy, boggy farming fields and scrambling through brambles to get back on track. I would still explore this route again in better weather.
