HikingMuddy

Hills are very steep but fun if you want a bit of a challenge. Parking in the village is limited and residents appear to be taking down number plates/monitoring cars so may be better to start elsewhere along the route.

Great walk but be prepared for a couple of steep hills at the beginning. The view from the windmill and the view in the return to the village are really lovely.

First of all we were so lucky it was a gloriously hot sunny day. I took my family of 5 with me on this one. We did the full route including the two sections where it seemed pointless to go as you just turned round and walked back and the route was longer by 1.5km or so.. kids were exhausted when we got back so you don’t really need to bother with those bits. That aside this walk was incredible it was beautiful all the way round - no boring bits - it had some steep climbs though - watch those knees. I personally love the steep climbs as it makes it more interesting and generally it means you will be highly rewarded with absolute beauty at the top! There were a few stiles on this route and kissing gates. There’s a lovely pub at the end you can go to as well to celebrate the hard work! I highly recommend this walk

We did this walk earlier today. My Grandfather’s Grandfather lived in the area. A lovely walk, albeit hilly in places. A good walking stick helped. Great views and few people. Not to be missed!

Best walk I have done so far in the Chiltern Hills. It starts in the lovely village of Turville. The walk has everything: beautiful views, diverse surroundings, hilly thus interesting etc. There are four steep hills which make it a good workout. Not suitable for buggies and smaller children though. Only the last hill (clockwise - going up) is a bit overgrown in parts, unless you are smaller than 5ft which means your fine . Thanks again to those who WRITE reviews which help me to pick those walks that I will enjoy the most.
