A walk to visit the enchanting waterfall, Hareshaw Linn, in Northumberland. The walk leaves the village of Bellingham and follows the pretty stream, Hareshaw Burn, up along the gorge through beautiful woodland to reach the impressive waterfall. The walk follows a solid stone and rocky path for the entire length which can just have a little surface mud. The route includes several climbs and descents and there are several flights of steps, a couple of gates and some footbridges to negotiate. The path can be slippery in part and the gorge sides slope steeply away down to the stream so take particular care with children and dogs. Dogs are welcome on the path to the waterfall, as long as they are under close control. The car park has an electric car charging point and rubbish bins but no other facilities. Approximate time 1.5 to 2 hours (longer if you spend more time admiring the burn and falls).

A beautiful waterfall set along a well kept walk with excellent craftsmanship on many a bridge.

A Really enjoyable beautiful but fairly short walk through forests and over bridges with a lovely photographic waterfall as a payoff at the end ... it’s great for dogs too.

lovely walk with plenty of waterfalls to see. we extended the walk by starting at nearby Henselyside huts, made it around 6 miles round trip, but easy to moderate terrain meant no problem for our 6 and 8 year olds. play area in Bellingham was a nice bribe as the kids tired in the heat, quick stop there to replenish energy and the 1.5 miles back to huts became easy.

Took my (nearly) 5 year old and he managed it no bother. Trail conditions are good with lots of bugs and flowers to keep him entertained along the way.

This is a great experience. The area around the waterfall is somewhat magnetic in that it makes you want to stay, look and listen. No wonder why it has been popular through the ages.
