November 5, 2020One of my favourite walks, ever! Very boggy at the moment, went slightly off tour when we loops back round unsure where but was stunning think the view was of Bromlee Lough.

July 29, 2020A good hike and nice loop looking back onto the Wall. The second half of the hike (opposite the Wall) is lightly trafficked, while the first half through the ruins was overrun by families and those taking in the sites. Overall an enjoyable hike and convenient parking, assuming the lot is not full. A good way to see a nice section of the Wall.
July 12, 2020Beautiful views and historic pathway. Rocky trail along the wall with some steap ascents and descents with loose rocks. Tough with kids from the housesteads and Roman fort. Many public pathways.

First to ReviewGreat trail and even better views of Hadrians Wall, Sycamore Gap and the old fort. One thing we will say: we are avid hikers and this trail does have steep sections, plus it’s quite long. For this reason, would grade at moderate rather than easy. A great hike to do while in the Hexham region.
