Kielder Forest is a large forest in Northumberland, surrounding the reservoir Kielder Water. It is the largest man-made woodland in England. The majority of the forest lies within The Border Forest Park with the southern tip, known as Wark Forest, lying within Northumberland National Park. The Bakethin North Shore walk is a circular route which takes in the Bakethin Reservoir and also includes Dead Man's Cairn, the route of the old Border Counties Railway and the Kielder Viaduct.
