A circular walk from the village of Cropton in North Yorkshire. If you and your pooch like the shade of woodland trails and appreciate the opportunity to have a paddle, then this quiet fairly easy walk in and out of woods and through fields is for you. The terrain is medium difficulty, mostly wooded, sheltered paths with some open areas. There is one steep climb at the end of the walk, otherwise it is fairly level. There are no stiles on route, just several gates and kissing gates to negotiate. Most of the paths are within woodland but there are a couple of fields where you may come across livestock. There are plenty of opportunities for dogs to be off the lead, however dogs should be on the lead where sheep are grazing and through the small caravan park at the end of the walk. Allow 2 hours.
