Steep descent, especially with a baby carrier, overall good paths, great views from the top.

Absolutely loved this walk. Well sign posted and the trails has many hidden gems along the way. The view at the top of Simons seat is unreal and well worth the walk. Would do this walk again without a doubt!

Absolutely lovely walk!!! I loved it. Beautiful scenery- and clear paths. We had to park about 10 min drive from Bolton abbey as it’s pre booked car park only so we parked on a little lane and walked there

HikingGreat!

Great walk. Nice ascent with beautiful views at the top. Although we went on a damp October day it was still lovely. Walk down is steady and not tough on the knees. Loved the changing scenery and walk through riverside woodland at the end!

Really enjoyed the first section up to Simon seat - tough ascent but fun and very windy! The last 8km or so was less interesting along the river. Also be warned, £10 parking at Bolton Abbey

RunningGreat!

I ran this trail and think it’s a fantastic route up to Simons seat. Only thing which annoyed me a bit was the dog ban! Can’t understand why and considering we had drove an hour to get there I wasn’t turning back around. So he came with us.. disguised him as a sheep.. Great Climb up and the views were worth it! Pretty easy way down and the path coming back seem to drag on some what.
