This starts at Rievaulx Terrace parking which is free. The walk starts by descending through the woods towards Rievaulx. The walk is suitable for dogs and the paths are well defined though can be muddy in the woods if wet.

Beautiful - it took approx 4.5h. I split over two days and went off trail in order to wild camp. I stayed in a forest clearing at deep hill forest. Saw 4 wild doe and wild stag. Very beautiful.
