Description
Waypoints (8)

The circular route is one of the most popular walks in the Dales. Once you leave the carpark, the walk takes you through beautiful woodland before climbing through the collection of waterfalls. There is a well defined footpath which runs close to the edge of the two rivers and steps to climb. Dogs must be kept on a lead in certain areas, especially when crossing farmland. This walk features beautiful nature and geological features, such as Thornton Force. This area has been designed as a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England. Entrance Fee: £7 - Adults £3 - Under 16

Beautiful walk well worth the £7 fee to go. Wouldn't call it 'easy' as it's rated on the app as there are lots of steps up to the peak and back down too more moderate in my opinion! Very very busy so advise to go early on opening or late afternoon early evening to miss the rush or you may end up in the overflow car park! Good facilities toilets and cafes at beginning and little huts selling food and drink and toilets half way round too! Will definitely return!

We absolutely love this place. Bit slippy after rainfall but well worth it for the views. Good that it’s a one-way system as that cuts down on having to move out the way for on comers. Immense scenery, comfortable distance for most with only a few tricky steps. Also has a few ice cream vans/huts dotted about

We went last week on a rainy day and it was still too busy, the walk itself is amazing! We went round with kids aged 2-12 and all loved it. Just a lot of stopping and starting in places as it all got too conjested!

Defo worth a visit so nice! Wear proper boots tho...we went on a wet day which isn’t the best idea in trainers. Some parts quite slippy and lots of steps in parts up and coming down. Different views all the way round. Worth the £7 each. Took about 3 hours, I’m a bit slow on the slippy steps etc and we didn’t rush. People can easily pass you and wasn’t a problem.

A lovely and scenic walk - would definitely recommend. Two things to be cautious of though ... 1. It costs £7 per adult to do the trail and 2. The trail is mostly a narrow, one way path and, as it gets very busy, the walk takes longer than usual as it’s impossible to get past people as many walk very, very, VERY slow. Many also stop to take photos too which means those behind have to wait a while before they can carry on. If you can go on a quiet day, totally worth it. Village is awesome.

Definitely worth paying to get in. Beautiful views at each of the falls and on the rest of the walk, the scenery is lovely. Although it says easy, it is certainly easy to follow, but you should be aware, there are a lot of steps and at the moment you can't turn back if you feel it's too much. Recommend and will walk again.

Absolutely brilliant trail, loved every minute, beautiful scenery, lots of waterfalls to see and lots of woodland and greenery. The walk through the village back to the car park is great if you fancy a little shopping trip or want to grab tea and cake, I will definitely return.

Nice walk with the kids and dog, fair few steps up and down but easy enough. Gets busy and a charge to enter.... but apart from that all good. Will do this again.

Absolute beauty of a walk with the family. Kids 5. & 8 loved it too. Very easy walk with plenty of waterfalls and forestry to walk through. Good parking at the start of the walk. Pay to go in and park and the walk starts the minute you get out of the car. Easy to follow and it’s more of a stroll than a hike
