A circular walk from the idyllic village of Hutton-le-Hole in North Yorkshire. This walk is ideal if you want a taste of the wild North York Moors, stunning views and a couple of relatively steep climbs, but also want the comfort of being able to stop off at two of the most beautiful villages on the North York Moors. The terrain is medium difficulty, with some climbs uphill on grassy paths. There is also a short section of road walking. There are no stiles on route, only gates, and there are plenty of empty fields and woods for your dog to explore. You will come across sheep on the moors and in Hutton-le-Hole. Ryedale Museum in Hutton-le-Hole is dog-friendly. There are public toilets in the car park in Hutton-le-Hole. Allow 2.5 hours.

Excellent varied walk, well described - penultimate paragraph - update - missed turn to right off hollow lane, as way marker now bent over, and there is now a small plantation of trees on the first part of the grassy bank,

Great walk but stream was a bit tricky and some climbs very muddy. But it was January!
