Muddy

Nice walk and decent length. It has been raining alot recently so many parts were extremely muddy. Lots of varied paths through woodland, and along the river although would have liked to see more of the river. Part of the route (appx 1km) takes you along a field with no footpath thats a bit uninspiring and maybe could be changed up. Enjoyed it Overall

Even on a misty day there were great waterways and beautiful variations of countryside to stagger through. Bring waterproof boots to stay safe!

Really lovely. 4 stars because of the noise from the highway in some of the path.

Great trail course with varied scenery. The other courses in Chess Valley are also recommended.

It is a good trail. Easy to get there from London (by train or metropolitan underground line). The lunch at the cock Inn was superb. minus - it is not very remote, too many houses and noise from London orbital motoray.

Great walk. Easy enough to do with kids. The scenery is beautiful looking at the rolling Chilterns hills and the lovely river chess. The terrain is mixed as well with some relatively easy hills, though it is mostly flat. Being able to go in the river and play was certainly a highlight for the whole family. Very much recommend this walk.

Good walk, challenging in places for a beginner (me) with a few uphills that gets the lungs working. Beautiful scenery, rivers, woods and landscapes. Stopped for a bite at the top of a climb and enjoyed the view. Good parking and route.

First to Review

There's ample parking at the start. No directions on this one, so we took the left track which worked out ok. Cut out the dead end bit that's halfway through, took one minor detour past the 2 pubs and walk was 10k in the end. Some lovely countryside. There was an option to skip an uphill section but glad we did it, there's a nice church at the top. Our efforts are recorded here: http://mt.513gs.com/?d=575d75&l=en&u=1
