A circular walk from the Lincolnshire village of Donington on Bain, that rises gently to a ridge with views over the mix of arable and pastoral farming in the Lincolnshire Wolds. A short way off the track, lie the remains of the RAF Stenigot radar station. The final section follows the Viking Way from the Humber Bridge to Oakham. The paths are mostly wide and easily walked, though muddy after rain. There are three kissing gates to negotiate and, just before returning to the village, one stile alongside a metal farm gate. This adjacent gate appears padlocked, but can possibly be opened. The short road sections are very quiet, with little traffic. Allow 2 hours.
