Fantastic walk and has a bit of everything for everyone. Steep inclines steep declines. Parts are muddy parts are in great condition parts can be avoided. Twice round the summit too great training for someone’s hiking programme.
Cracking walk up to the summit (twice). This trail is exactly what it says it is.. A figure eight that climbs to the top of Pendle Hill TWICE. Views were spectacular we thoroughly engoyed it. Approx 4 hours to complete. Some parts are pretty muddy so you will need a decent pair of boots.
I would rate this walk hard and not moderate, the Trail is a figure of 8 shape taking you over the top of Pendle hill twice so that’s means two climbs up the top and then down twice, one climb to the top is enough and so i recommend cutting the walk short by coming down on the path to the right just off the summit point.
