pub walk

A circular pub walk from The Huntsman in Eridge. An enjoyable, gently undulating walk through classic Kent countryside including converted oast house, wooded lanes, open fields and an abundance of bird life. The walk follows a mixture of quiet lanes and woodland and field paths. The route includes several kissing gates but there are no stiles. Approximate time 70 to 90 minutes.

We enjoyed this walk on a Monday. Lots of cars parked around the rail station but few on the road. We saw pigs at the pub. Their last day as they were being moved to a new home (really - not a euphamism for the bacon factory). The pub is closed on Mondays and is closing completely on 9 Oct 2016. Not sure if it will reopen? The walk was pleasant. We saw a heron on the first lake and robins in the hedgerows. ADMIN RESPONSE: Thanks for the info. We have checked with the pub and the landlord is changing on 9 October 2016. The pub will only be closed for a few days, reopening under new management on Friday 14 October 2016.

Nice walk if a little boring. Didn't particularly like the fact that there was a chunk of road walking.
