HikingGreat!

I was so disappointed with this route! If you want the tranquility of the New Forest this isn’t for you. Being a shorter route near a large car park and road means this was a heavily tourist route. All I could hear was kids screaming and cars the whole time... this was not fun!! The only thing of interest or beauty in this route were the 2 tallest trees. It’s ok if taking children but if not, choose a less touristy track!

Perfect little trail suitable for all. Amazing massive trees to look at. Lots of other paths and trails leading off if you’re feeling adventurous and have time to explore. I forgot to stop recording though so have captured the drive home too.

Walking

We did the tall trees trail walk and It was lovely. stopped for an ice cream, and a small little river nearby was nice too. if you like trees this would be good place. this place does get busy, so arrive early or late afternoon for a parking space. although car park was full, it was still quiet place to walk.

Really enjoyed walking both loops 0.5 mile and 1.5 mile with a ice cream in the middle, if you like trees you'll be in your element, was thoroughly impressed.

A walkable flat trail in an otherwise flooded Forest. Easy walk that we extended by using some forestry roads on the right as we entered the car park. Douglas firs and cedars reminiscent of our home on Vancouver Island.

Great little walk around the arboretum and along the trail each side of the road. Impressive trees, including a few 'young' redwoods - would be nice to come back in 500-1000 years and see if they have got as big as the ones in Yosemite!

An easy and fun trail with beautiful, huge trees! It’s like a little bit of America in the UK!! There is also other foreign trees such as beautiful eucalyptus from Australia to see in the arboretum. Really recommend this walk, it was magical!

Amazing trees and good information en route. Slightly closer to the road than I'd usually like but still a great walk
