Good walk, mainly woodland. Some nice views over Winchester Hills Tip. Don’t park on church grounds as the owner leaves kind reminders on the windscreens that it is the private property and no parking.

Thank you for your feedback Monika. I've moved the trail head to discourage our users from parking on church property.

Lovely trail, very muddy in some areas though. The parking at the church is now listed as private, but there are spaces on the side of the roads to park only a short walk from the church.

Wouldn’t say it’s moderate. Private land at start point so drive to Kings Somborne and join trail from there.

Beautiful route through farms and forest, made all the better by lingering frost. Would not say it's moderate, definitely an easy trail! Very muddy in places and good boots are essential. Kids and dog enjoyed the trail. As other have said, parking at the trail start is now marked as private and there were number of cars with notes left on the windscreens - better to find alternative parking and join the trail elsewhere. Would do this trail again.

A nice walk. The jump off car parking point as shown on the trail is now clearly sign posted on site as private and belonging to a farm. The best place to park is Kings Somborne and walk from there to the trail which adds around just over a mile to the walk. About 70% of the walk is on Forest and Farmland vehicle trail with the remainder on forest paths and quiet country road. I've given the trail 3 stars as a lot a the trails are on straight line paths which detracts from the walk I feel.

First to Review

Great walk. Walked in November after week of rain and was VERY muddy in sections through the woods but otherwise quiet, with easy to follow well made paths and very little on road (which was very quiet anyway). None of it is flat, but gradient is gentle all the way round.
