A short circular walk taking in part of the Hayling Billy Trail on Hayling Island. The Hayling Billy train line ran from 1867 until it finally closed in 1963. Since then the route has been renovated and provides an enjoyable and safe location for walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users. This route takes in some local countryside, as well as part of the old train route, to provide a circular walk with great views into Chichester and Langstone harbours. There are gates and steps to negotiate but no cattle or sheep. It does involve crossing the Hayling access road which is often quite busy. There are a couple of obvious car parks on the route but it is not unusual to find these full, so this trail has a less obvious lay-by as a starting point. Allow 1 hour.

Easy walking but the first half was overgrown and not very interesting. Not so bad when you get to the oyster beds.
