Enjoy a nice challenge and a 14km trail in a very beautiful countryside near Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is great spot for some exercise and to see some historical buildings and learn the history behind them. The view is just fantastic and the route is perfect for a nice walk, running or cycling. However, it can be quite steep in parts and muddy, but you can pick and choose the best way for you with nearby trails.

Waterproof shoes require as it can get quite muddy. Lovely easy walk.
Some parts are muddy up to your knees !!! If your not bothered by mud you’ll be fine :-) cut the last corner off the map
I love this walk, the views from the top of the pike are amazing! We didn’t loop the water (save that for another day), we just headed through the woods and up the hill and down via pigeon tower and steps. Not too bad for mud, the dogs loved it and were off the lead most of the time
