Note that the scramble to the waterfall may be difficult for some. Users report that this trail does get packed during peak hours. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. The car park is pay-and-display (£4 for the day), unless you are a Blue Badge holder or RSPB member. There are toilets on site, and picnic areas around the reservoirs.

Stunning views , quite hard walking in some parts of the trip .... the waterfall was amazing
This is a fantastic walk and is in My top 3. The waterfall climb i thought was not to difficult to do but anyone not to good on There feet my find it hard Also not good for small children. Fantastic views just a shame the morning I did it it wasn’t a very sunny one. Car park is £2 for 4hrs and £4 all day it tuck me just over 3hrs to do but I did stop a few times to take some pics. Overall I would definitely recommend this trail
A walk only undertaken because the car park that marked the start of our intended walk was full! The path quality is exceptionally variable, and some of the ground is quite waterlogged and heavy going- however this makes up a minority of the walk. We saw and heard lots of wildlife- including grouse!
great trail, didn't do the last 2km, came down from the tops early to finish off the walk around the reservoir as it was bitterly cold and windy. the wee scramble up the waterfall was so so much fun and the Trinacle wad spectacular! I didn't find the hike particularly challenging, that said, I would say I have a reasonable level of fitness. did the hike with my wee jack Russell and he absolutely smashed it. car park was full on arrival but we spoke to the car park attendees (who were lovely) at the top of the road who explained cars were leaving and opened the road up to allow us down to park. car park was £4 for the day. toilets on site and picnic area by the Reservoir, although we found shelter on the tops to sit and admire the view.
Superb, even in the wind and rain. Very challenging. Unreal views, worth the graft up to the summit.
Decent walk, bit of rock scrabbling up the waterfall. Really muddy and sloppy towards the top. Not too challenging.
I dropped my phone at the top of the river so it stopped recording. it was terribly icey and dangerous. Do not attempt if you have no experience. Otherwise, amazing walk
