The third stage of The Gloucestershire Way begins at May Hill and heads east to Gloucester. This route is downhill and flat, making it one of the more relatively easy stages of the trail. You will walk southeast to the River Severn, which you will hike along for a short distance. Almost a mile past the small town of Minsterworth, turn left and begin heading north. You will pass the railway and walk along the road for a short distance. Then, you will cross a bridge shortly before reaching the town of Gloucester.
