Allot of the initial stretch follows roads but a series of footpaths through the fields will take you off of these if you wish. Lots of deer to be seen. As you pass Poultry house the recorder will tell you your off track but the footpath is further left outside of the private land.

Really good route, lovely scenery with a great climb up the hill fort. Would be careful if the golf course is open though!

Good walk, worth experiencing. Great views along the Beacon, Painswick is a beautiful spot to include. Lots of parking options along the route. A fair amount of road to cover but all in all a very good spot.

Easy to follow with beautiful views of the surroundings. We didn’t follow the route exactly to avoid some section on the A road which seemed a bit u safe. The Painswick Beacon was amazing in clear day where we had our lunch. Despite the muddy track we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. We will do it again.

Really easy to follow. Nice paths, though tight with nettles in some areas. View at the top is stunning and overall had a great time! We parked opposite the golf course start/end as someone else suggested and worked out really well.

Nice walk with a mix of pretty village, forest paths and hills, wonderful views from the beacon and benches for a mid way test and picnic. Not too taxing so a pleasant afternoon walk. Went wrong a couple of times so the map was needed, also there is a free ramblers car park at the end of the golf course section so if you struggle in the village to park as we did, that’s a good alternative start point.

trail is OK, first half has way too much tarmac walk, and I would skip it. the view from the hill is impressive and worth the small uphill walk.

Lovely walk with great views. You’re in the sun quite a lot so maybe bring a hat. We parked at the painswick beacon car park (free) and started the walk from there. Lots of varied terrain with fields/ forests/ few little roads.
