A circular walk from Crowborough rail station in East Sussex. This is a typical country walk taking you through remote areas of hills, fields and woodland. You will enjoy long stretches of woodland paths in Old Lodge Warren and Hornshurst Wood as well as passing through the small village of Rotherfield. This walk is one of a collection published through a collaboration with the East Sussex County Council. The terrain is moderate in difficulty and includes some hills as well as stretches that can be muddy. You will need to negotiate several gates, footbridges, flights of steps, sections of boardwalk and 7 stiles. Three of the stiles have adjacent dog gates, and the others either have fence gaps for dogs or should be low enough for agile dogs to hop over. The majority of the route is through woodland or enclosed paths, but you will cross one grass pasture that may be holding sheep. There are a couple of stretches along quiet country lanes. One stretch of the route crosses a golf course so watch out for any stray flying golf balls. Allow 3 hours.

Really nice walk but definitely for a sunny day. Did this in April after rain and the mud was awful.
