This route covers numerous trails, many of which are built upon a disused rail system in Derbyshire. The Five Pits Trail is our first trail and consists of a network of surfaced walkways for recreational use by walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike. You can listen to tales of history, heritage and wildlife of the area with downloadable audio trails for the Five Pits Trail, Holmewood Woodlands and Grassmoor Village. Look for the QR codes as you travel the trails. Halfway along our route, you will come across the Glapwell Mountain bike trail, built by specialist trail builders "Bike Track". The last of the old rail Trails is Teversal, which will bring you back to the starting point in Tibshelf.
