Lovely walk with great views, no steep hills and not too strenuous. Couldn’t park at the car park suggested as it was full so started from Curbar car park instead which was easy enough. Would highly recommend the Bridge Inn in Calver for half way drinks!

I did this as a solo walk with my dog, lovely route and enough people about to not feel too isolated. Varied route - sandy, tarmac, rocky and dirt parts.

Walking along Baslow and Curbar edge was amazing, fantastic views. The lower part was just farm tracks and Froggatt village. Just the one steep climb before Curbar.

Nature tripsGreat!

We went on a lovely sunny day and it was great. The path is easy, not moderate and even though it was not the elevation I was looking for, is beautiful. I loved the various changes of scenery. We have also did a longer route, ending up in about 18 km and diverging from this path a lot. But it was worth. Very nice for a 1 day hike.

I used this as my first solo venture. Easy enough to follow, a good variation of scenery and inclines, lots of markers around. The only tricky part I found was spotting the right point to get down from Curbar Edge, but once you've found it, its pretty smooth sailing from there.

Beautiful walk with lovely views across the valley. Especially liked the variety of the trail -- hills combined with the riverbed and meadows. The Highland cows on the way are an added bonus.

Lovely trail. Some of the trail was covered in nettles though so be warned, few steep hills.

Great trail. Nice long hill to begin with, stunning views throughout. Lovely little village spar at the end for refreshments. Have done this trail twice this month it was that nice. Second time with my 9 year old who was in awe throughout. Recommended

First part hill climb was tough. Went right around the loop. The ridgeway was nice but rest of the route pretty mediocre

- Dog friendly (large lab had no issues navigating some of the rocky scrambling areas, small dogs would struggle) - We went left to start with so did the ridge at the end of the walk. when you get to the top just under the baslow ridge turn right not left, the left is blocked off and you have to come back on yourself. - very enjoyable walk

Great moderate walk over Curbar edge then down to the river Derwent. Back through muddy fields.
