This walk takes you to the seven fells: Knott Rigg, Ard Crags, Sail, Crag Hill, Grassmoor, Wandope and Whiteless Pike.   A quick scan of the ridge to the north and northwest and from there follow a very steep descent of Ard Crags to Sail Beck then an equally steep ascent to Sail Gap. Then zig-zag your way up the flank of Sail to reach the unimpressive summit before dropping over a ridge towards Eel Crag (Crag Hill) and at this point the terrain will change. Instead of the rounded flanks of Sail it will became rocky and exposed before an steep climb to the peak of Eel Crag. Walking down the other side of Eel Crag is an altogether more gentle affair on a well-defined path down a rounded slope and in your sights you will have Grasmoor directly ahead with Wandope to the left and Whiteless Pike beyond that. Whiteless Pike itself commanded an impressive vista with the might of Grasmoor and Eel Crag behind you and the splendour of Buttermere and Crummock Water below. You will have to go off-piste and descend the flank of Whiteless Pike sans path.
